This post will cover part 2 of our successful party formula. In the last post I shared with you that having a successful party theme is a great starting point to throwing successful parties. The way to make sure that individuals show up to your party and more importantly that they stay and have a good time is dependent on how entertaining your party is.
Entertainment is the “E” in our TEAM formula. A great theme will almost always bring people out to check out your party if properly executed. The challenge nowadays is getting them to stay! Unlike clubs who usually charge a cover as a financial incentive for people to stay and “get their money’s worth”, individuals can party hop as much as they want on a college campus. Entertainment is the one of the very important factors that helps people decide to stay.
At first sight, getting people to stay seems like a no brainer, but it is actually a lot harder than it seems. There are plenty of parties out there that just aren’t entertaining…period! This can be for a number of reasons; many are covered in the video above. Every party, though, has to have entertainment…it is what keeps a party going.
Party entertainment has several different aspects. Some of the more popular forms of entertainment are alcohol, beer pong tables, etc. While this may be good for a drinking party, it will not be enough when you are attempting to throw a great party.
The easiest way to make a party more entertaining is have a group of "party starters" show up early to hang out and get people excited as soon as they show up. Here are two ways to get people to show up early.
